Discover the Unique Qualities of Oak and Alder Woods for Furniture

At Oak Arizona, we pride ourselves on using high-quality oak and alder woods to craft our bespoke furniture. Each type of wood offers unique characteristics that enhance the beauty and functionality of our pieces:

Oak Wood: Oak is renowned for its strength, durability, and distinctive grain patterns, making it a popular choice for both traditional and contemporary furniture. Oak wood has a narrow, yellowish white sapwood and a heartwood ranging in color from light brown to dark brown. The grain has a uniform structure, in which the annual rings are clearly visible

Alder Wood: With its lighter weight and smooth texture, alder is excellent for pieces requiring a fine, uniform finish. Alder is evenly textured, with a subdued grain pattern, and has a moderate weight and hardness. Because of its uniform, small pore structure and consistency of color, alder is a preferred wood for finishing.

Color and Character: Both oak and alder offer stunning natural colors and will develop a richer patina over time, adding to their aesthetic appeal.

Sustainable Materials: We are committed to sustainability, ensuring that our wood sources are responsibly managed.

Understanding these characteristics will help you appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of your furniture from Oak Arizona.
